The tool that calculates the rotation of a toric IOL
What is IOA Toric Recalculator?
It is an indispensable tool for ophthalmologists who work with phakic or pseudophakic toric intraocular lenses. With absolute precision, the IOA Toric Recalculator will calculate the exact rotation of an implanted IOL needed for maximum correction of astigmatism.
It was developed in Madrid at the IOA (Institute of Advanced Ophthalmology) by Dr. Francisco Poyales and Dr. Nuria Garzón. Dr. Poyales is a surgeon specializing in the anterior Segment of the eye and a researcher in the field of astigmatism, having collaborated in the development of some well-known toric lenses on the market. Dr. Garzón was responsible for R&D at the IOA, with a strong dedication to calculations and analysis of optometric results.
Instructions for use
The on-line IOA Toric Recalculator calculates the amount and direction of rotation needed for an implanted intraocular lens to adequately correct the refractive error while minimizing postoperative residual astigmatism.
